Akshay Kumar turns Marathi manoos.
‘Nana-chi Taang’. In case you are non-Marathi and wondering what is that, it’s the title of the Marathi song that Akshay Kumar has sung for his upcoming comedy film Khatta Meetha, co-starring Trisha.
The words ‘Nana-chi Taang’ mean Teri aisi ki taisi in Hindi and the song has Akshay not just singing but also shaking with pelvis with Trisha and a bunch of foreign extras. The number, composed by Pritam, fuses rock music with Maharashtrian twang.
In the movie, Akshay plays a Marathi manoos named Sachin Tichkule. Trisha, who’s making her Bollywood debut, plays his love interest.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Khatta Meetha is about road mafia. It’s set for release in July.
