Which football team is John Abraham rooting for?
For the coming 31 days, John Abraham is going to keep himself free in the evenings to watch the FIFA World Cup which kicks off today in South Africa.
The actor is a self confessed football freak and has in-depth knowledge about not just the game but also various teams and their star players who could make a difference in this world cup. So which team is John rooting for?
“I think Spain has a very well balanced side. It has players like (Fernando) Torres and (David) Villa who are game changers,” John says.
However, John is also quick to caution us that every world cup has its share of surprises. But he’s asking footballs fans in India to look out for Lionel Messi (Argentina), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and Wayne Rooney (England).
The actor is so excited about the world cup that he’s put up a home theatre system in his house just to watch the games. Not only that, he’ll also be hosting parties every evening and might actually fly to South Africa with girlfriend Bipasha Basu to watch the semi finals or final.
