Students preparing for civil services often complain of one thing. And that is time management. Students find themselves confused regarding G.S. paper. Because it is important not only at prelims stage but also at mains and interview stages. Many students who clear prelims and mains level because of their good knowledge in their optional subject papers find it difficult to answer questions at interview stage? Why? Because of their lack of in-depth knowledge in current affairs. Then they don’t do well in interview and fail to get desired ranks despite getting into final cut list. Other candidates because of this fail to get even into final cut list. It leads to disappointment. They start discussing the problem. What is the reason? They had taken the help from reputed and costly coaching institutes and had read newspapers throughout the year and also year books published by several publications. Despite all the hard work why they failed?

There is also a category of students who have not appeared once for the civil services but will be appearing next year. They are also confused. They consult many persons and coaching institutes to get correct guidance. More often than not they don’t get correct guidance at the right time. By the time they understand the requirements of the civil services exam it is too late. As a result they find it tough to crack the exam. There are also students who because of financial problems find it hard to pay the costly fees of coaching institutes. Because of their humble backgrounds they can not avail themselves of friend circle or experts who can tell them the right information regarding the correct procedure to prepare for the exam.

I invite all these students and parents and concerned citizens of India who wants reform in educational sector to discuss this problem. Don’t we need to have a solution . Even in the age of IT revolution if we cannot bridge the gap between successful students and those students who have not achieved success so far then what is the use of IT. I think many students must have the same opinion that there should be a reliable source on Internet from which they can download or read their required study materials in a processed manner. There are students who visit net to find relevant information but because of information overload they remain confused start giving precedence to print version or materials over Internet. Just imagine how much time saving it would be if we exploit web medium to fullest.

I invite all students and concerned persons to share their opinions views thoughts. Keep in mind you are going to contribute your thoughts for your own success story. Youngsters must become part of this discussion. As you know discussion is the first step to find any solution to any problem.
