Obviously..I mean..I am not talking about your skin’s colour…No, not at all..

Environment day today..5^th June is celebrated as Environment’s day..So how many trees you planted? How many liters of water you saved from getting wasted??

I am damn sure that there would be a very less number among us who really would have taken pains in doing something special today, just like we do on our b’day or on any special occasion. But the good news is that we are rated as most environmentally conscious consumers by National Geographic – Globescan report. Yeah, they have ranked Indian consumers as the “greenest” in world in its latest survey, conducted among 17,000 consumers across 17 countries.

In the third year of this survey, not only has India retained its no. 1 position but has also increased its “Green index”  – score awarded by the survey using five environment related parameters – by 2.1 points since 2009.

Amazing news… isn’t it??But we still need to improve more. Lot still needs to be achieved to become greener. Utility of public transport needs to be increased, water saving techniques need to be implanted, fuel should be saved, and much more…

Most important step is developing love for our country. There is a crucial connection between the two. Readers, problems with us are that we blame each and every thing to our Government. This really needs to be changed. We itself are not aware. Whenever there is some interview of ministers or a great personality how many of us dare to question them regarding environment. Really a few..When our cricket team faces defeat, everyone-a small child to the news channels can be seen opposing but how many of us oppose of increasing pollution. No-one..

This is the field we need to work. That’s all..
