My first look at the IPAD, from Apple
Today I was one of those lucky few people that got an IPAD. Yes, I finally got one after waiting for about one month. And my first reaction is WOW. And then another WOW .. followed by an OH MY GOD. Why did this device elicit such a reaction from me when even the IPHONE, the MACBOOK PRO and the iMAC failed to overwhelm me? The IPAD is just plain SLEEK .. that is one of the first words that comes to mind to describe it .. SEXY, AWESOME and Cute are some others that come to mind.
As a woman, I must say that the size of the device is perfect and so is the weight. It is not heavy at all. I don’t think that reading a book on it will be problematic at all .. but more of a joy since it is much less weighty than all those hardcover ones. The IPAD features all the same features that are available on the IPHONE is slightly larger form factor. The size of the IPAD is that of a book ( a 9.7” inch screen that is backlit). The device is surprising thin .. at less .5” inches.
It was great to view all the Jagran websites using this device. They were very readable, the navigation perfect and with the availability of enlarge or decrease the size of the page. The WI-FI connection was a bit slower than I expected as the pages took a bit longer than expected. I am now waiting to buy my first e-book and get reading. I just love this device.
