World Cup countdown has started, each country fighting hard to select their top 15 players who can bring the 2011 world cup trophy in their country. India has also selected their top 15. Team looks very balanced with the good combination of young and experienced players. There are many favorites in this team whose performance will decide the India’s performance in this world cup and Sachin tendulkar is leading these favorites group. Master Blaster has played 5 world cup and 2011 will be his sixth one. He and the whole nation is waiting to bring the world cup back to home after 28 years. Many critics says that Sachin did a lot for the nation but could not bring the World cup home..I agree that we all are waiting for this moment when India lift the trophy of World Cup but world cup cannot be win by the performance of one player. To win the such a big event we need effort from the whole team.

I am bringing some facts here for those, who think that Sachin did not perform well in the World Cup and on the basis of these facts, I want to say if all 11 players performed in the same way as Sachin performed in last 5 world Cups then no body can stop us from winning this 2011 world cup.

• Sachin played 5 world cup till now, 1992, 1996,1999,2003,2007 and 2011 will be his sixth.

• Sachin scored 4 hundreds and 13 half-centuries in 36 matches of world cup.

• Sachin’s best world cup was 1996 world cup, in which he scored 523 runs with the average of 87.16. India reached to Semi-Final in this World Cup. In 2003 also he played exceptionally well and scored 673 runs with the average of 61.18. It  is highest by any player in a single Cricket World Cup. We reached to the final in this World Cup. Sachin failed in the final and we lost that.

• Sachin’s worst world cup was 2007, in which we scored only 64 runs with the average of 32 and it was  India’s worst world cup also.

• Sachin holds the world record of 8 man of the match awards in world cup.

• Sachin also won man of the series award in world cup 2003

• Sachin holds the world record of Most runs (1,796 at an average of 59.87) in World Cup Cricket History.

Details —

I wish Sachin will play in the same way as he performed in 1996 and 2003 and will bring World cup Trophy back to India.
